Monument Valley

What a BIG place. I was happy to get out and stretch my paws. Diesel is covered in dust again and does not even seem to care. Mother says we should not pee in this sacred place, but Diesel did not listen - again.

Grand Canyon

Wow! Now this was worth it! Our first view of the Grand Canyon - it was amazing.

Capitol Reef National Park

Day 2 and I have seen enough dirt, rocks and brush to last throughout my lifetime. As we drove into this park, the trees were covered with big cocoon like objects. They were huge and most unpleasant. Come to find out, they were caterpillars indigenous to this area. Thankfully, we left before having to encounter them.

Goblin Valley

Goblin Valley, Utah. We drove late into the night and arrived around midnight. We had no idea we were sleeping amongst goblins. The small child had fun running amongst the rocks. I found the dust unsettling. Diesel, as you can see, takes no pride in his coat and did not seem to mind.

After a night of camping, it was time for a long, morning walk around the campground - it was cool and cloudy and quite nice. We then got to taste some sausages for breakfast before heading out to explore. The sun eventually came out. Hopefully, we are heading back home now. There is no grass in sight for miles...

Scarfs???

We had to wear scarfs for a photo shoot for our upcoming birthdays... We just wanted the treats. And they say we have to wear them on our upcoming RV trip. I AM NOT A CAMPER! Take Diesel and I will go to a hotel.

First Night Camping

We went to Chatfield for our first night camping. This cage is ridiculous. I should be inside, relaxing. I thought if I gave Samuel a kiss he would let me out. Then I pretended to show interest in a pine cone to see if he would let me out. Instead, he brought our food and we had to eat outside! Diesel does not seem to understand how demeaning this is...

I rarely have time for photographs when I am out of doors. I have so much hunting to do. Diesel slows me down - and he looks like an Old English Sheepdog. We went to Chatfield today for a picnic and a walk. Diesel has a sore paw, so we did not get to go as far as I had hoped. I was reluctant to pose with Samuel, as he could have choked me, but I did it to please Mother. I enjoyed some goose candy while out and about today...
